Youth Ministry

“Let no one despise your youth, but set the believers an example in speech and conduct, in love, in faith, in purity”

– 1 Timothy 4:12

What is Youth Ministry?

Youth Ministry is the Church’s response to the needs of young Catholics.  It takes a collaborative effort from youth, parents, pastors, families, and adult volunteers, and it comes in many forms: eating (!), praying together, listening to and giving talks, playing sports and games, sharing in discussion groups, sharing on Facebook, attending retreats, conferences and camps, taking leadership roles, serving the needy, assisting at Mass, listening to music, basically consecrating all that young people do to Christ. At Sacred Heart, we strive to engage eight important areas of a young person’s faith life through comprehensive youth ministry.

Sacred Heart Youth Groups gather every Sunday at the church from 7 pm - 8:30 pm for grades 8 to 12.

Together we learn about our faith, grow in fellowship and have a lot of fun in the process.
